UTEP Softball Releases 2018 Fall Schedule

EL PASO, Texas – UTEP softball head coach Tobin Echo-Hawk announced its eight-game fall slate in preparation for the 2019 campaign.

The Miners will begin fall play with the 2018 Alumni Game in celebration of two-time Conference USA Player of the year winner Camilla Carrera, who is being inducted into the UTEP Athletics Hall of Fame.

On Sept. 23 UTEP will play two contests at the Helen of Troy Softball Complex against Midland (12 p.m.) MT and NM State (4 p.m.) MT.

The Orange and Blue will hit the road to Las Cruces, N.M., for two games on Sept. 29 versus UNM (2 p.m.) MT and N.M. State (6 p.m.) MT.

The next day on Sept. 30 the Miners head back home to play a doubleheader against Cisco College (12 & 2 p.m.) MT. The following week (Oct. 7) UTEP will round out fall competition with a two-game set versus Odessa (1 & 3 p.m.).

This fall schedule will give Echo-Hawk, who is entering her sixth season leading the Miners, a chance to see where her returning talent stands heading into the 2019 season. Echo-Hawk and her staff will also have the opportunity to evaluate the nine new faces joining the UTEP roster. All contests at the Helen of Troy Softball Complex will be free admission.
