New York Giants Select Will Hernandez 34th overall in the 2018 NFL Draft

After two years of NFL speculation and extra day of waiting, Will Hernandez found his NFL home, as he was drafted in the second round with the 34th overall pick by the New York Giants Friday evening.

Hernandez started and played in 49 games for UTEP, becoming the first UTEP athlete to garner back-to-back AP All-American honors.

The Las Vegas native was a dominate force at left guard, and is the highest UTEP player taken in the draft since Thomas Howard was drafted 38th overall in 2006.
