UTEP football finished their final weekend of official visits before the February signing period strong with two reported verbal commits, and a possible unreported third commit after 11 visitors toured El Paso this weekend.
El Paso Del Valle offensive lineman Tristin Tuialuuluu announced last night that will be a Miner, and high school quarterback prospect Brayden Hawkins announced Sunday that he has also committed to UTEP.

Tuialuuluu, 6’3, 295 pounds, was named District 2-5A’s lineman of the year this past season after starting 35 straight games on the Varsity level for head coach Jesse Perales. He held an offer from Incarnate Word, and is certainly an underrated offensive line talent.
Hawkins, 6’3, 210 pounds, is rated as a two-star prospect by 247Sports and had offers from Boston College, Buffalo, UCF, and Ball State. The Charlotte, North Carolina native threw for 5,612 yards, and 54 touchdowns in his two year varsity career at Myers Park.
UTEP had a total 11 visitors including these two latest verbal commits. Other confirmed prospects on campus: Ray Waters, Jonathan Patrick, Trent Thompson. The coaching staff also had a high school place kicking prospect Gavin Baechle visit El Paso this weekend.
Coach Dimel will officially announce his 2018 recruiting class Wednesday afternoon.
