Dana Dimel picked up his first commit in his UTEP tenure from the JUCO ranks as speedy linebacker Hassan Belton announced via Twitter that he has committed to transfer to UTEP.

Belton, 6’0, 215 pounds, started his career at Western Carolina, then walked on for a season at South Carolina and played last season at Butler Community College.
Playing in seven games last season, Belton who is from Blythewood, South Carolina, had 35 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and an interception last season at Butler CC and will have two years of eligibility.
