NCAA Football: Texas El Paso at Texas Tech Michael C. Johnson-USA TODAY Sports

Aaron Jones was taken in the 5th round Saturday, and now some of his fellow teammates could join him in the next few hours on the free agent market.

We will update the signings throughout the evening as signings are confirmed and become public below:

Sean Kugler announced the following signings

Converted defensive end who is a productive 3-4 OLB behind the line of scrimmage, and can cover RB’s in a third down package.

  • Hayden Plinke, TE—Seattle Seahawks

Physical blocking tight end with above average NFL-level hands. Devastating blocker with sneaky breakaway speed.

Physical blocker who can catch. Paved the way for 5th round draft pick Aaron Jones.

Sean Kugler also announced Freytag will tryout for the Dirk Koetter and the Bucs. Downfield threat, and willing blocker. Under-utilized vertical threat.

Jerome Daniels, OL——Pittsburgh Steelers

Played tackle in college, but the 6’3, 305 pound lineman can move inside at the pro-level. Kugler reports it is a free agent tryout.

Kent Taylor, TE——San Francisco 49ers

Rangy TE with long arms who can block, and be a red-zone threat.

Jay Mattox, K, San Francisco 49ers

Accurate kicker, four year starter, NFL level accuracy.
