The senior-to-be is a 6'3, 240 outside linebacker who registered 13 tackles and three sacks in an apparent pass rush role at Wake. UTEP desperately needed a pass rush force, and looking at some of video clips, Jackson could upgrade UTEP's pass rush off the edge.
Jackson started his career as a rush end/hybrid linebacker in four years at Wake Forest which included a red shirt year, and figures to become a main piece in UTEP's 3-4 defense when it comes to getting after the passer.
A Dothan, Alabama native, Jackson was recruited as a pass rush specialist in Wake Forest’s 3-4 defensive scheme.
