UTEP Basketball: Discounted Tickets On Sale for Old Dominion, Charlotte Games

The red-hot UTEP men’s basketball team will play its final two home games of the 2016-17 season this week, and discounted tickets are available now.

Tickets are only $8 and $10 in all sections except Gold. These tickets are ordinarily as much as $26.

The Miners will host Old Dominion on Thursday at 6 p.m., with the winner earning the no. 3 seed in next week’s Conference USA Championship. UTEP will host Charlotte on Saturday at 1 p.m. for Dominic Artis’ "Senior Day."

"This team has enjoyed an amazing in-season turnaround, and we want to do everything we can to give our fans the opportunity to pack the Don Haskins Center for two very important games," UTEP Director of Athletics Bob Stull said.

Floyd had this to say about packing the Don after UTEP's win last Saturday at FIU.

"I’ve always said that teams have to earn crowds," UTEP coach Tim Floyd said. "I think we have earned it at this point. This team is playing better than last year’s team at any point right now. They are playing together, they are playing inspired, and they are playing Miner basketball. We are playing for third place Thursday night against a team that has really, really improved in the last two weeks of the season. They are scoring at a high clip, a great defensive club and it will be a real tough test for us."

UTEP has won a season-high five consecutive games and 11 of its last 13. Old Dominion is on a four-game win streak and is 7-2 in its last nine contests.
