After the Miners poor loss against Lamar Monday night, Tim Floyd stepped down in retirement after the game, ending his UTEP tenure.
Floyd will step down immediately, the same day UTEP introduced Jim Senter as their new athletic director.
Senter will now have the task of naming an interim, and Floyd will recommend Bobby Braswell or Phil Johnson.
