UTEP and Gonzaga in the running for 2018 PG Greg Foster Jr.

NCAA Basketball: UAB at Texas-El Paso Ivan Pierre Aguirre-USA TODAY Sports

Tim Floyd and the UTEP basketball team have flown under the radar due to the football happenings this week, but got some good news yesterday on the recruiting trail.

According to Evan Flood from 247Sports, 2018 point guard Greg Foster Jr. has narrowed his college choice down to UTEP and Gonzaga, and will make a decision soon.

A composite 3-star, and ESPN 4-four star prospect, Foster Jr. also holds offers from Milwaukee, Northern Colorado, and was offered by Gonzaga on Monday. UTEP offered Foster two years ago, and have been hard on his trail for a commitment.

Foster averaged 14.9 points, and has excellent length, and a good court vision. Of course, Foster is the son of Miner legend Greg Foster Sr. who is a current assistant coach with the Milwaukee Bucks.
