Friant, 5'11, 180 pounds, went 24-for-25 in his high school career, and is known as a kickoff specialist with a major boom and penchant for touchbacks.
A Johns Creek, Georgia native, Friant has visited a number of SEC schools during his recruiting process, and was ranked #100 in the Kohls Kicking camps national rating system based off camp performances from Friant.
He was a Region 7-AAAAAA all-region selection this past season, was a Georgia all-state honorable mention for his junior year performance.
National Signing Day is around the corner on February 1st, with Friant making UTEP's 2017 class grow to seven high school commits, and three JUCO signings.
