EP Times: Zack Greenlee takes all first-team reps on Wednesday, Alvin & Aaron working to get healthy

According to El Paso Times beat reporter Bret Bloomquist, it was Zack Greenlee who took all of the first team reps at quarterback in Wednesday's practice.

Both Greenlee and Ryan Metz took equal reps on Tuesday which is UTEP's first day of on field preparation. Although today it was Greenlee who led the Miners' first team offense throughout the different periods.

Bloomquist says Greenlee took every first team rep, and was the only quarterback in UTEP's two minute drill work on Wednesday. Preparing for a fast tempo on the defensive side, UTEP used two huddles on Wednesday with Metz working with the second team.

Sean Kugler said earlier in the week that he would like to make a decision on a starter after Thursday's practice ahead of UTEP's Saturday road trip to Ruston to face the 1-3 Louisiana Tech Bulldogs.

In other news from Wednesday's practice, Aaron Jones practiced Wednesday, but was limited towards the end of practice after having his ankle re-taped.

Alvin Jones did not participate in team drills, starting left tackle Jerome Daniels was out with a back issue, and Kalon Beverly was not suited up for the second straight day with a hamstring according to Bloomquist.
