According to multiple reports, 2017 forward Roderick Williams changed his plans and will visit UTEP over Utah this weekend.

Williams, a left handed 6'6 forward from Los Angeles will play this coming season at East Los Angeles College. He originally signed with Cal State Dominguez Hills in 2015, and red shirted last season meaning he will have three years of D-1 eligibility if he signs in the class of 2017.

Williams was a 2015 John R. Wooden Award High School Player of the Year averaging 15 points and eight rebounds in his senior year. He led Price in scoring in back-to-back seasons, and was an honor student in high school.

VCU, Utah, Portland State, and UTEP have all been after Williams recently after he posted a solid performance in the pro-am Drew League this summer.

Williams will also visit VCU next week.

He averaged 21.5 points and 8.5 rebounds in the Drew League playoffs playing against NBA talents like Stanley Johnson in the famous California pro-am league.

Coming out of Price High School in Los Angeles, Williams was ranked as ESPN's 19th best player in California, and is currently a composite 3-star prospect who can also match up at guard as well.

UTEP also offered another 2017 JUCO forward in 6'8 DaJion Henderson from El Camino College Compton Center this week. Henderson has offers from Tennessee State, and UT Martin.

Keeping with the JUCO heavy theme, 2017 guard Carl Brown picked up his first D-1 offer over the weekend from Tim Floyd and UTEP. The 6'5 JUCO guard plays at Mt. San Jacinto College and is originally from Louisville, Kentucky.

Tim Floyd has appeared to now move out west to finish off this very active recruiting cycle after recruiting the Dallas area and Midwest as he's been spotted along the west coast the past couple of weeks.

The early signing period starts of November 9th this year, stay tuned for more info as it comes out.
