UTEP Football: Miners work around lightning delay on Day 2

Mother nature didn’t stop the Miners from getting in their wok on Day 2.

The Miners battled through a lightning delay Friday morning in Ruidoso which split up Day 2 of fall camp.

Coach Kugler commended his bunch for adapting and getting in the Miners needed work in despite the disruption in their daily practice routine.

Kugler talked to the media aftewards about the young corner backs, and feels UTEP will be three deep at each cornerback spot this coming season.

Devin Cockrell steps up to the mike after Day 2 to talk about his return to the Miners secondary.

You also hear from Nik Needham, and cornerbacks coach Derius Bell after the Miners Friday morning/afternoon workout.

Some of the highlights from Day 2 via Bret Bloomquist of the El Paso Time was Aaron Jones again taking QB snaps out of the wildcat formation for the second straight camp.

Alvin Jones picked off a pass for the second straight day, and Cole Freytag had a few nice catches as well.
