Cornerback depth could be an area of concern for the coaching staff after spring practices. So after offering a JUCO corner earlier this week, 2016 junior-to-be Alex Jean-Charles has verbally committed to UTEP.

Jean-Charles reported an offer on Tuesday, and today officially committed to Sean Kugler and the Miners, he will have two years of eligibility.
At six-foot, 175 pounds, Jean-Charles, a Florida native, played the past two seasons at Phoenix College. He recorded 32 tackles last season in six games, and intercepted one pass, and averaged 5.3 tackles per game.
He added an interception as a freshman in a reserve role at Phoenix College, and was a versatile standout playing both sides of the ball at Winter Haven High School in Florida.
With so many experienced youngsters returning in UTEP's cornerback cavalry for 2016, it will be interesting to see where his speed is plugged in on the outside in UTEP's new 3-4 defensive look.
