In an attempt to shore up some needed depth at safety in the new 3-4 scheme, JUCO safety Thomas Warren committed to UTEP on Thursday.
Blessed to be able to continue my education and play ball at Utep. Being able to commit to this university was all Gods work.#UTEP#Thankful

The 6'1, 215 pound athlete originally signed with NMSU in 2013, but appeared in nine games for Pima Community College this past season.
Warren was a productive member of Aztecs secondary last season, racking up 56 tackles, a forced fumble, and 2.5 tackles for losses at strong safety, and told us he will be on the UTEP roster come the fall.
Coming out of Mountain Pointe High School in Phoenix, Arizona, Warren was considered one of the top athletes in Arizona in 2013 spilling time at running back and safety in his prep career.
Warren was listed as a sophomore on Pima CC's roster after joining the program in 2015.
UTEP's fall training camp gets underway on August 4th.
