UTEP Women's Basketball: Daeshianna McCants will transfer to Eastern New Mexico

Keitha Adams lost a post to a transfer.

Las Cruces Native and 6'1 post Daeshianna McCants will transfer to Eastern New Mexico per a release from ENMU.

McCants appeared in 55 games the past two seasons for the Miners, starting six games this past year as a sophomore.

"Daeshi is an immediate impact player," ENMU coach Josh Prock said in a release. "We are very excited that she has chosen to join our program. She is someone that can play on the inside and outside. She is a very physical post presence and also is skilled enough to make plays on the perimeter."

She had a very distinguished prep career guiding Mayfield High School to a an appearance in the state finals in three of her four years, including winning the 2011 championship.

McCants saw her minutes dwindle down the stretch of UTEP's 29-5 season as a possible reason for a transfer.
