Turner a 6'9, 250 pound big man is a 3-star prospect via ESPN.com, and is rated as the 12th best player in the state of Louisiana by ESPN. Every recruiting site has him as a 3-star, 247Sports ranks him as the #10 player in Louisiana, and the 32nd best center in the nation.
He returned to Louisiana this past season after a year at Findlay Prep in where he appeared in 23 games for the Pilots. As a sophomore at Curtis High School in Louisiana, Turner averaged 11 points points per game in his breakout season on the recruiting scene.
Providence and Memphis seem to have the leg up on the trail for Turner at the moment as Memphis has been involved with Memphis since Josh Pastner was there, and has reportedly set up a visit to Providence.
Baylor is also listed as a target landing spot for his services. Tim Floyd said a need was a big man with some hair on his chest, and it looks like Turner could be that guy with about a week left in the late signing period.
