The Daily News Journal's Middle Tennessee beat writer Aldo Amato said the decision on where the 2017 C-USA Basketball Tournament will be held is between UAB and Birmingham, and UTEP and El Paso and could be finalized this week.
A decision on where next year's C-USA basketball tournament will be (UAB or El Paso) is expected to come out of the spring meetings.

UTEP will look to host their third C-USA hoops tournament as a C-USA member, while Birmingham would be preparing for their third straight tournament in downtown Birmingham which has been a solid central location.
Conference USA's powers that be are conducting their annual spring meetings this week which will end Wednesday with an official announcement of the long awaited C-USA TV Deal expected to be unveiled.
