Original Report
According 600 ESPN El Paso's Steve Kaplowitz, sources confirmed to him that Christian Romine will be transferring from UTEP. The reasons for Romine's transfer are unclear, but assuming it is true, it would open up a scholarship for this upcoming season, leaving the Miners with two spots to fill.
I just heard from a source that Christian Romine will be transferring from @UTEP_MBB. He is the only one currently leaving the program.

Romine came to UTEP as a 3 star prospect out of Mahomet, IL, and boasted an impressive resume. However, things didn't exactly pan out during his freshman campaign, as hear appeared in just 14 contests, averaging less than 4 minutes a game.
The departure would open up a scholarship for the Miners, but it would also mean they have lost another big man from already thin unit. Matt Willms is set to return in 2016 from a foot injury that sidelined him a season ago, but beyond that only Terry Winn returns as a true big with game experience.
USC graduate transfer Katin Reinhardt is rumored to be considering UTEP, and would be immediately eligible to play, potentially filling one of the available scholarships, but the 6'6 guard would not fill the Miners' most apparent needs in the front court.
