UTEP Basketball: 2016 guard Adrian Moore is UTEP's latest commit

After gaining one, and losing two, UTEP adds another in a wild day of roster moves.

Multiple outlets are reporting that 2016 guard Adrian Barnes out of Arkansas has verbally committed to UTEP's class of 2016.

Moore has gone mostly unrated by most of the major recruiting sites, but held high-major offers from Baylor, Arkansas, Wake Forest, and Tulsa, notching all-state honors in Arkansas this past season for North Little Rock High.

The high-flying athletic guard is 6'4, 180 pounds, and could possibly upgrade UTEP's perimeter defense, and fills what is thought to be the 12th scholarship for the 2016-17 season.

Here are some scout notes on Moore from Future150.com

Future150 Arkansas Camp (September 13th-14th, 2014): We continue to watch the evolution of the North Little Rock (AR) wing. His ability to score the basketball on all three levels consistently has us very impressed with his continued work and development. Look for him to have a big year this winter as he plays a national schedule.

The Summit Camp- (May 31st-June 1st, 2014) Not only is Adrian one of the best athletes in the entire 2016 class, but he is now beginning to put together an impressive set of perimeter skills as well. He loves to play above the rim and is also able to create problems for the defense by slashing to the bucket. His on-ball defense is exceptional as well.

So to recap Thursday's happenings, UTEP signs Chris Barnes this morning, then both Brodricks Jones, and Josh McSwiggan announce that they will transfer within an hour.

Once officially announced, Moore will be UTEP's 5th member of the class of 2016, with a remaining spot presumably for a big man still available.
