UTEP Basketball: Brodricks Jones to transfer from UTEP

UTEP's off season roster shuffle continues as Buddha announces his intent to transfer.

Hours after UTEP announced a newest member of the basketball roster, sophomore-to-be Brodricks Jones announced he is heading in the opposite direction revealing he will transfer from UTEP via Twitter.

Jones, a former 4-star prospect, appeared in 16 games this past season as a true freshman, logging 138 minutes scoring 20 points, and adding 23 rebounds last season.  He also had meniscus surgery in November and missed nine games.

Originally signing with Steve Fisher and San Diego State out of high school, the Los Angeles native then signed with UTEP in early August of 2015 after being released from his LOI at SDSU.

The departure leaves UTEP in serious need of an immediate front court addition, turning some of their current interest in a few 2016 big men into possible offers over the next couple of days.
