UTEP Women's Basketball: Turner, Nash, Breedlove earn All-Conference Honors

UTEP guards Jenzel Nash, and Camaeaha Turner were named to the Conference USA All-Conference First Team, while fellow guard Starr Breedlove was named to the Second Team the league office announced today.

Turner, a Defensive Player of the Year candidate, was also selected to the All-Defensive team along with Breedlove who ranks nationally in steals.

Averaging 12.7 points per game for UTEP while routinely drawing the opponent's top wing scorer on defense. Turner, a Dallas, Texas, native led the team in minutes played (30.0 mpg) and was second in total rebounds (128).

Nash lead UTEP in scoring (13.8 ppg) and rebounds (5.7 rpg).  Breedlove recorded 90 steals on the season (3.2 spg), which is sixth nationally.

Additionally, the Miners were the only team with multiple players named to the All-Defensive team after finishing the regular season with a 25-3 overall record, and C-USA best 16-2 conference record.

The Miners open up the Conference USA Tournament next Thursday against either Southern Miss. or UAB.
