  • The Miners would be seeded seventh in next week's C-USA Championship if it started today, but they can move up to sixth with a win over UTSA and a Charlotte loss at North Texas.
  • The no. 7 seed would face no. 10 WKU as of now and the no. 6 seed would meet no. 11 North Texas.  UTEP's opponent could change with three teams currently tied for eighth place (FIU, Rice, WKU) and North Texas sitting a game back in 11th place.
  • C-USA Championship seeds if the tournament began today: 1) UAB, 2) LA Tech, 3) Middle Tennessee, 4) Marshall, 5) Old Dominion, 6) Charlotte, 7) UTEP, 8) Rice, 9) FIU, 10) WKU, 11) North Texas, 12) Florida Atlantic, 13) UTSA.
  • The no. 7 seed would play at 5 p.m. MT on Wednesday.  The no. 6 seed would play at 7:30 p.m. MT on Wednesday.  The American Sports Network has coverage of all C-USA Championship second round and quarterfinal games.

Series Notes:

  • UTEP leads the series 8-2, with six of the 10 matchups taking place in the Don Haskins Cen- ter.
  • UTEP is 5-1 versus the Roadrunners in the Sun City. The Miners hosted UTSA during the 1981-82 (won 65-37), 1997-98 (won 71-62), 1998-99 (won 78-61), 2011-12 (lost 73-64), 2013-14 (won 81-62) and 2014-15 (won 69-62) seasons.
  • The Miners are 4-1 versus the Roadrunners since UTSA joined Conference USA for the 2013- 14 season.
