Report: Cedrick Lang will have pre-draft workout with New York Giants

Ced Lang is getting some serious NFL looks.

According to Giants Wire, former UTEP basketball player, and former UTEP football tight end Cedrick Lang will go through a private pre-NFL draft workout with the New York Giants in April.

Lang made the transition from the hardwood to the gridiron last spring/summer, and caught 11 passes for 72 yards, and a big time touchdown catch in overtime to beat NMSU this past season which was his first season playing football since his freshman year of high school.

It was thought that Lang would get a legit NFL sniff due to the intrigue of his athletic abilities, and football potential.  Now Lang's dream of continuing his budding football career may become a reality in the next couple of months.

The 6'9 Lang has been working out at the U Athletic Parlance Center in Farmingdale, New Jersey in preparation for pre-draft workouts, and UTEP's pro-day on March 31st in the Sun Bowl.  He's represented by known NBA Agent Keith Glass who is experimenting the NFL side of the business with Lang's process.

Lang will more than likely go undrafted, but this workout almost solidifies the NFL's intrigue in Lang who could end up signing a rookie free agent deal after the draft.
