Over the next couple of months up until fall camp, UTEP will be updating the 2016 official roster with a handful of additions already showing up.
2014 signee and wide receiver Eddie Sinegal is now listed on the roster and will wear number 21, as well as a freshman walk-on from El Paso and a 2015 signee.
Running back Ricky Olivas from El Paso Austin High School, and 2015 offensive lineman signee Josiah Gray from Rancho, California are now on the roster and will participate in spring practice.
An interesting addition to the roster is freshman defensive back Jaylen Harris.
Harris originally committed to Air Force in 2011, but signed a Minor League Baseball contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2013 playing two seasons in their farm system.
The Cedar Park, Texas native will more than likely play corner at UTEP, and was a consensus two-star prospect coming out of high school.
Junior linebacker Cameron Martin is also on UTEP's updated roster.
Martin saw action in six games last season as a sophomore at Texas A&M-Commerce.
In other roster notes, linebacker Johnny Jones who sat out last season due to transfer rules will be eligible for the spring.
Kalon Beverly will now wear number 1, defensive tackle Silas Firstley will now wear number 3, TK Powell will switch to number 23, and defensive back Michael Lewis will now wear number 2.
2016 JUCO signee Tanner Stallings will wear number 58.
Aaron Jones, and Devin Cockrell are listed as red-shirt juniors, and Terry Juniel is listed as a red-shirt sophomore after missing last season due to injury.
UTEP has yet to add 2015 gray shirts other than Josiah Gray, and 2016 signees, but those will be updated sporadically in the off-season and before the start of spring practices.
