UTEP Announces December Basketball Promotional Schedule

UTEP released its promotional schedule for five basketball games in the month of December on Thursday.

The men will host Northwestern State (Dec. 3), NM State (Dec. 13) and Northern Arizona (Dec. 17). The WestStar Bank Don Haskins Sun Bowl Invitational (Dec. 21-22) is run by the Sun Bowl Association. The women will host NM State (Dec. 15) and CSU Bakersfield (Dec. 28).

Men’s Games

Dec. 3 – Northwestern State (7 p.m.)

• Faculty & Staff Appreciation Night (UTEP faculty & staff 50% off gold/silver & bronze tickets / UTEP faculty & staff 20% discount at UTEP Bookstore Don Haskins kiosk / special concession specials for UTEP faculty & staff)
• Martial Arts Halftime Show by Alchemy Karate Academy

Dec. 13 – NM State (7 p.m.)

• FirstLight Federal Credit Union Battle of I-10
• Miner Athletic Club pre-game dinner in the Durham Center (tickets $15 for adults and $7 for children; call 747-6787 to order or for more information)
• National anthem and halftime performance by “The Voice” contestant and El Paso native Elia Esparza
• First 5,000 fans receive complimentary orange & white rally towels
• Fort Bliss soldiers repel from the Haskins Center rafters pre-game

Dec. 17 – Northern Arizona (7 p.m.)

• Hoops for the Holidays
• Kids can take pictures with Santa and friends in the North concourse of the arena
• Kids Club Day (Kids Club members receive a free ticket to the game and special in-game activities for Kids Club members; call 747-6065 for more information)
• Special holiday halftime show featuring UTEP spirit squads

Women’s Schedule

Dec. 15 – NM State (7 p.m.)

• First 3,000 fans receive free foam fingers

Dec. 28 – CSU Bakersfield (1 p.m.)
