UTEP at FAU: Miners' Depth Chart Outlook

Another week featuring very minimal changes to the Miners' depth chart, but UTEP has developed an interesting offensive line rotation that was effective against Houston Baptist.

Derron Gatewood, Tanner Stallings, and Greg Long are all rotating with Gatewood, and Stallings rotating at center, and Long plugging in at right guard with Gatewood at center in certain packages.

When Stallings is at center, Gatewood slides over to right guard, giving UTEP two of their best offensive line athletes right next to each other.

In the last game against Houston Baptist, Stallings started at center and played a few series' with Gatewood at right guard, then Gatewood moved over to center, and Long played right guard.

"I kind of view Greg Long almost as a skill player that's too talented to be standing on the sidelines." Sean Kugler said on Monday. "We're really trying to get him working, and it worked out well for us. Those are two very good combinations for us, and all three of those guys played extremely well."

The only other noticeable change is behind starting free safety Dashone Smith in where Jerrell Brown and Kolbi McGary are listed as or's that mix in per the package that is called.

UTEP visits FAU this weekend for a 4 o'clock El Paso time kickoff.
