Houston Baptist at UTEP: Miners’ depth chart outlook

Nothing major to note ahead of UTEP’s Saturday tilt with FCS Houston Baptist, but a few confirmations were given on Monday.

First off, Ryan Metz was seen by a doctor after last week’s game as a precaution, but is okay and will start this week.

Sean Kugler also confirmed that Walter Dawn is not UTEP’s official back-up running back even though Dawn saw majority of the carries behind Aaron Jones last week.

Quadraiz Wadley and Dawn are listed as or’s on UTEP’s latest depth chart.

Dawn will remain as one of UTEP’s deep backs on kickoff return, and Terry Juniel is UTEP’s punt returner.

No other injuries or notable changes were made, UTEP and Houston Baptist kickoff Saturday at 6 p.m. in the Sun Bowl.
