UTEP Football: Aaron Jones ranks fourth in the nation in rushing yards

Even though he's been running on a bad ankle the past two weeks, Aaron Jones still ranks fourth in the nation in rushing with 733 yards heading into UTEP's week seven bye week.

Donnel Pumphrey from San Diego State leads the nation with 891 yards, and Florida State's Dalvin Cook sits in third ahead of Jones with 785 yards.

Jones also has the highest per carry average among the nation's running backs who have 100-carries or more with a seven yard per carry average. He also has seven rushing touchdowns, and leads C-USA in rushing yards.

He now has reached the 3,000 yard career mark, and has 23 career touchdowns which is tied for fifth in school history. Jones is just the third UTEP player in school history reach 3,000 career rushing yards, as he currently ranks third all-time.
