Game Note:

The popular Miner Legends series returns for the Florida Atlantic game as Omar Thomas will be honored at halftime.

"O.T." played two seasons for UTEP (2003-05) after transferring from Panola College.  He was a member of two NCAA Tournament teams and helped UTEP to 51 victories.

He averaged 18.1 points in 67 games for the Miners and was highly efficient with a .519 field goal percentage and .817 free throw percentage.  He also collected 5.8 rebounds per contest.

"O.T." garnered first team All-Western Athletic Conference honors in 2005 and second team in 2004.  He was All-WAC Tournament in 2005 as the Miners won the event for the first time in 15 years.

Series Notes:

• The Miners are 1-1 all-time versus Florida Atlantic with both teams securing road victories.

• The Owls posted a 71-69 victory at the Haskins Center on Feb. 13, 2014 when Marquan Botley banked in a three-pointer at the buzzer.   The Miners evened up the ledger by winning at Florida Atlantic, 63-56, on Feb. 5, 2015.
