The NCAA officially released attendance numbers for this past college basketball season, and UTEP checked in at #53 nationally.
In UTEP’s 16 homes games, the Miners drew 135,322 fans good for an average of 8,458, ahead of schools like California, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Notre Dame, and UCLA.
UTEP led C-USA for a consecutive year, with Old Dominion ranking #69 nationally and averaging 7,004 on the season. Old Dominion also had the 19th best attendance increase in the nation from a year ago.
No other C-USA school cracked the top-100, while NMSU checked in at #88 averaging 6,150.
UTEP came in second in attendance for all Texas schools for the second consecutive year as well.
Overall, C-USA ranks #12 nationally with a plus-50 change in average from last year. The C-USA Tournament in Birmingham also held its own nationally averaging 8,168 per session.
The Big Ten led all conferences in total attendance, while Syracuse led all teams in attendance average, and Kentucky drew the most folks with 447,874 fans passing through Rupp Arena this past season.
