Despite not being drafted yesterday, UTEP's former stars are still in the mix for a NBA roster spot.
NBA insider Alex Kennedy is reporting that Hunter will suit up for the Philadelphia Sixers summer league team in Vegas, while Julian Washburn will play with the Detroit Pistons summer league team in Orlando, and he will also play with the Golden State Warriors in the Vegas summer league.
The Orlando summer league starts July 4th, the Pistons will play the Orlando Magic's white team at 11 a.m. Eastern.
The Vegas summer league starts July 10th, Washburn's first game is slated for July 10th at 7:30 p.m. Pacific Time at the Thomas & Mack Center.
Hunter will play the following day on Saturday July 11th at 5:30 p.m. Pacific Time to open the Vegas summer league session.
All games can be seen on NBA.com or the NBA Gametime App.
If neither latch onto an NBA fall training camp invite, expect both to be drafted in the NBA D-League draft which is also in the fall.
Hearing Julian Washburn will play summer league with the Pistons (in Orlando summer league) and the Warriors (in Las Vegas summer league).
