Its now official, UTEP football’s fall camp will now be in Ruidoso, New Mexico after NCAA approval, and an official announcement by the university today.
The Miners will travel to Ruidoso on August 5th, and camp will start the very next day on August 6th.
"We are extremely excited as a program to be moving our training camp to Ruidoso and the Lodge," said head coach Sean Kugler. "They provide top-notched facilities and living conditions for our players to best get prepared for the 2015 season."
Camp runs until the 16th of August ending with a scrimmage that will send UTEP home later that afternoon, and giving the Miners two full weeks of perpetration in El Paso for the September 5th opener at Arkansas.
The move was first reported earlier this week by The El Paso Times, which will end a two year run in Alpine on the Sul Ross State University campus, and return to New Mexico for the yearly fall camp.
