UTEP football: 2015 JUCO safety Jordan Fogal receives UTEP offer, set for visit

California native Jordan Fogal is starting to make his way back onto the FBS recruiting scene after missing 2014 with an injury.

A 2015 JUCO safety, Jordan Fogal has received an offer from UTEP, and is set to take an official visit to the Sun City on June 8th.

Fogal, an Oakland area native, played for San Mateo JC in 2013, piling up 32 tackles and recording three interceptions, as well as four pass break ups in his freshman year.

"I just got an offer from UTEP," Fogal told JCFootball.com. "I will take my official visit there on June 8th."

Two days before the 2014 season, the 6'0, 185 pound Fogal tore his ACL, and was forced to red-shirt last season.   Fully rehabbed, and poised for a comeback, UTEP could use some experienced, and proven depth in the secondary rotation from the productive Fogal.

Playing primarily free safety his freshman year of JUCO ball, Fogal could either sign with a FBS school in 2015, or return to San Mateo for his sophomore year thus reclassifying to 2016, Fogal also boasts an outstanding academic standing.

If he were to commit to UTEP for 2015, he would have three years of eligibility as a Miner, and add much needed immediate depth in the UTEP secondary which saw some graduating turnover after last season.

He holds and offer from Utah but the offer is for the class of 2016, and has an unofficial visit to Utah on June 4th.
