A 2015 defensive lineman from Hesperia, California confirmed to Miner Rush that he has committed to UTEP's class of 2015.
Chris Richardson Jr. is a 6'3, 280 pound defensive tackle who played last year at Oak Hills High School where he was named to the 2014 Daily Press First Team Defense, All-Area Team, and the All-CIF First team as well.
Richardson piled up 11.5 sacks and 77 tackles last season a senior, and was originally committed to UNLV back in April. He will fill an immediate need for depth at the defensive tackle spot, and tells us he will practice in the fall.
A two-year letter-winner in football, Richardson added 35 tackles as a junior, and saw a drastic rise in his FBS prospect stock with a very productive senior year for Oak Hills.
Congrats to our very own @Richardson99Jr who has committed to UTEP! He's a fine young man, was a pleasure to coach! pic.twitter.com/xfp4vmj7q0
