UTEP guards Lulu McKinney and Cameasha Turner were named to multiple All-Conference USA teams the league announced Sunday.

Turner garnered a spot on the all-conference second team, and also was named to the conference's all-defensive team.

The junior from Dallas ranked inside the top-ten in the conference in steals per game, three point percentage, and points per game (15.3 ppg).  Turner also had a stretch of five games where scored 15 points or more during conference play as she took over the scoring charge this season for the young Miners.

"There are a lot of talented players within Conference USA." UTEP Keitha Adams said. "Cameasha has worked very hard this year, and I'm thrilled for her to be rewarded with those honors. They are well deserved and a great accomplishment."

After posting just six games with 10 more points in her first two years as a Miner, Turner reached double figures in 13 straight games and led UTEP in scoring 20 times this season.

McKinney was named to the all-freshman team after her stellar freshman year saw her earn three C-USA Freshman of the Week awards this season.   The Houston Native matched a career high 16 points twice this season, and also reached a career high with seven assists twice, as she became a defensive staple at guard as well.

McKinney also shot over 80 percent from the free throw line this year.

"We have asked a lot of Lulu this year," Adams said. "She has done a good job, and I'm excited to have her be recognized for her efforts."

UTEP will open the C-USA Tournament on Wednesday against host UAB at 10:00 a.m. Mountain Time.
