Just two days after being named the tournament MVP of the Corpus Christi Classic, UTEP senior guard Earvin Morris has added another accolade to his list in being named the Conference USA Player of the Week.
Morris averaged 20 points and 4 rebounds in his two games in Corpus, while shooting 56% from the field. He poured in 28 points in the championship game against Colorado State, including 22 of those points after halftime.
This is the first conference player of the week award for Morris, who is in his second year playing for the Miners.
UTEP returns to action on Wednesday night against New Mexico State at the Pan American Center in Las Cruces. They will be back home against UT-Arlington on Saturday.
