The start of a journey through the professional basketball ranks for two former Miners will start in the NBA D-League, while two other former Miners find themselves with new pro teams.

Vince Hunter has agreed to a NBA D-League spot with the Sacramento Kings affiliate the Reno Big Horns.  Reno started their training camp today, and starts their season on November 13th.

After being waived by the San Antonio Spurs as expected, Julian Washburn started training camp yesterday with the Austin Spurs who are an affiliate of the five time world champions.

Returning to the D-League for his second season, John Bohannon will workout with the Delaware 87ers after being traded from the Erie Bayhawks.  Bohannon averaged 9.0 points and 8.3 rebounds last year as a D-League rookie with Erie.

Julyan Stone will be taking his talents overseas after a fall training camp stint with the Oklahoma Thunder, and a NBA Summer League appearance.  Stone signed with Gaziantep of the Turkish Basketball Super League.  Stone appeared in one preseason game with the Thunder and recorded one rebound while logging four minutes of action.

Meanwhile, another former UTEP great Randy Culpepper is averaging 11 points per game in three contests off the bench with Limoges CSP Elite in the LNB Pro A league in France.
