It's not the real Kentucky, but rather Western Kentucky as UTEP commemorates the 50th anniversary of the 1966 National Championship in February.

According to FoxSports.com the February 6th home game against Western Kentucky will be the 50th anniversary celebration game recognizing the 1966 National Championship.

On March 19, 1966, Texas Western head coach Don Haskins in his fourth year at the helm at TWC, started an all-black lineup in the national championship game as his team went on to beat Kentucky, 72-65, capping a season which has since been immortalized in the 2006 film, "Glory Road."

Texas Western finished the 1966 season with a 28-1 record, and battled through two overtime battles in the NCAA tournament in their march to owning the lone NCAA basketball national championship won in the state of Texas.

UTEP has not officially announced any plans or if any of the remaining players from that historic team would make appearances in the early February C-USA match up with Western Kentucky.

Fox Sports says tip off time will be at 3:00 p.m. Mountain Time on Saturday February 6th.
