American Sports Network to air seven UTEP basketball games in 2015-16

The gift to C-USA fans everywhere that is the American Sports Network will show seven UTEP hoops games this winter.

The American Sports Network has finished their 2015-16 C-USA basketball slate that includes seven UTEP basketball games.

UTEP's home games against UT Arlington on December 5th, New Mexico State on December 19th, Rice on January 1st, and North Texas on January 3rd will be picked up by the network.

Road games at Middle Tennessee on January 7th, at UTSA on January 16th, and at Florida Atlantic on February 13th will also be aired on the American Sports Network's.

Conference USA announced that the Miners' home game versus LA Tech on February 20th has been changed to a 4 p.m. start due to the game being aired on the CBS Sports Network.

In addition to the Men's games, the UTEP women will have their January 17th home date with UTSA televised on ASN.

ASN is an initiative of the Sinclair Networks Group, LLC, which owns and operates, programs and provides sales services to 164 television stations in 79 markets, reaching approximately 43 million U.S. television households. It includes FOX, ABC, CBS, MyTV, CW, NBC, Univision and Azteca affiliates. ASN, which launched in August 2014, produced 250 college events in nine sports in its first year and plans to air more than 375 events in the 2015-16 academic year.

ASN will televise 65 C-USA men's basketball games this season, and 15 C-USA women's basketball games. ASN will have coverage of the first three rounds of the C-USA Men's Basketball Championship and will also carry 10 games from the C-USA Women's Basketball Championship.
