Paul Thomas and Christian Romine nominated for McDonald's All-American honors

A pair of 2015 UTEP signees have been nominated for the prestigious McDonald's All-American honor.

UTEP's 2015 high school signees Paul Thomas and Christian Romine were nominated for the exclusive McDonald's All-American honor and game today.

Thomas is in the middle of his senior year at Summer Creek High School in Houston, he had a 17 point, 12 rebound game last night in a loss, and poured in 17 points adding in eight rebounds in a win on January 9th over Conroe.  He ended 2014 with a 20 point, 10 rebound effort in a win against Cy-Fair as Summer Creek is 13-8 overall this season.

Romine is in the middle of his senior season as well, scoring 15 points last night as Mahomet-Seymour demolished Prairie Central 59-31. Mahomet-Seymour is unbeaten in league play so far this season with a 6-0 mark, and 11-3 overall record.

Both have officially signed letters of intent, and along with JUCO guard Lee Moore have UTEP's 2015 recruiting class ranked 59th in the nation, and number one in Conference USA thus far per 247Sports.

The 2015 McDonald's All-American game is set for April 1st, inside Chicago's United Center.
