UTEP and Army have agreed on a home-and-home series that will start in 2016.
In September of 2016 UTEP will host Army in the first leg of the two year series, and then UTEP will head to West Point in 2017 for the return game.
UTEP Athletics Director Bob Stull broke the news during Tuesday's practice.
This game figures to draw a huge crowd and even bigger local interest with El Paso's Army ties. This will mark the first ever football matchup between Army and UTEP.
Two of UTEP's dream opponents will be on the 2016 schedule as UTEP also pays a visit to Austin and will take on Texas possibly the week before UTEP at Army meet.
No word yet on if UTEP plans to renew the two year deal with New Mexico that finished up this past Saturday. Sean Kugler has said as long as he is here at UTEP he wants so play UNM and NMSU every year.
