UTEP Finalizes 2014-15 Men's Basketball Schedule

The 2014-15 men's basketball schedule was released today, and it is highlighted by a pair of home matchups against power conference schools, a Thanksgiving tournament in Anaheim, and a Conference USA slate much different from that of years past.

The Miners will open up their season with a pair of exhibitions on November 1st and 9th, and will officially begin the regular season with a home contest against the Washington State Cougars on the 14th.

Another home game against New Mexico State on the 22nd follows that, and then the Miners will hit the road for the Wooden Legacy Tournament set to take place November 27th-30th in Anaheim, CA. They'll open that against Princeton, and will face either Xavier or San Diego the following day.

Following that tourney, the Miners' schedule features a pair of road matchups with Colorado State and New Mexico State, and they will then take on the Arizona Wildcats December 19th in the Don Haskins Center.

Contests against Incarnate Word and Southeastern Louisiana, as well as the Don Haskins Invitational featuring Alcorn State, Kent State, and North Dakota State, and an exhibition against Sul Ross State wrap up the year and non-conference schedule.

The Conference USA slate opens with road games against North Texas and Rice on the 2nd and 4th of January, followed by a pair of games that could have huge implications in the C-USA race.

The Miners will take on Louisiana Tech and Southern Miss on the 8th and 10th, but will then hit the road for three straight against UTSA, Western Kentucky, and Marshall giving them five of their first seven league games on the road.

A pair of home games against UAB and Middle Tennessee finish up the month of January, and the first half of the conference slate.

The second half of the schedule begins with road games at Florida Atlantic and Florida International, followed by home games against Charlotte and Old Dominion, before finishing with return games against UTSA, Louisiana Tech, Southern Miss, North Texas, and Rice.

The Conference USA tournament, in Birmingham, AL from March 11th-14th, wraps up the 2014-15 regular season. Have a look at the full schedule here:
