UTEP tight end Eric Tomlinson has been named to the 2015 Senior Bowl Watch list.
Tomlinson is coming off one of the best seasons of his UTEP career in which he had 30 catches good for 304 yards that marked the most receiving yards by a UTEP tight end since 2008.
He joins eight other C-USA players and 301 players on the watch list who will vie for 110 roster spots to represent either the north or south squad in preparation for the 2016 NFL Draft.
The 2015 Senior Bowl will be played January 24th at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, AL.
Quarterback Rakeem Cato of Marshall, tackle Cameron Clemons, wide receiver Willie McNeal, and defensive back Cam Thomas from Western Kentucky, quarterback Taylor Heinicke of Old Dominion, wide receiver Jamarcus Nelson of UAB, defensive back D'Joun Smith of FAU, and wide receiver Jordan Taylor join Tomlinson as other C-USA hopefuls.
Seniors who have huge seasons can still be added, so Nathan Jeffery and Jameill Showers can still find themselves in the game as part of their NFL draft preparations after this coming season as well.
Tomlinson is UTEP's best pro prospect in 2015, the 6'7 tight end looks faster, fluid, and smoother running routes via my watch of camp. His blocking has always been top notch, I'm no draft expert but I would project him as a 5th-7th rounder at this point.
Good luck to all the seniors this season!
