Bohannon Gets NBA Summer Camp Invite

Dreams do come true as UTEP center John Bohannon has a chance to earn a summer league roster spot with his hometown Dallas Mavericks.

According to John Bohannon's Facebook page, he has received an invite from the Dallas Mavericks to attend their NBA summer camp.

Bohannon went un-drafted last June, but did workout of for a number of teams in the pre-draft process and was sure to get an invite at some point before NBA summer leagues concluded.

The Mavs kick off their 11-day summer league season July 11th in Las Vegas against the New York Knicks, the invite is not a guarantee on the summer league roster, but an opportunity to turn some heads, and possibly make an appearance to two in a game if all goes well during camp in the couple of days.

Bohannon of course had is best season as a Miner this past season, and finished his career as a member of the illustrious 1,000 point, 700 rebound club, while posting the fifth most double-doubles in school history with 20 over his four year career.
