Future Miner To Play In THSCA All-Star Game

Future Miner running back Treyvon Hughes will play in the 2014 THSCA All-Star game tonight at 6:00 PM El Paso time.

While the grind of camp starts August 4th, incoming running back Treyvon Hughes will see some late summer game action in the Texas High School Coaches Association All-Star game tonight in San Antonio's Alamodome.

Hughes becomes the second consecutive running back from Hebron to be named a THSCA All-Star after running for 1,445 yards that led him to be named Co-MVP of the tough 5-5A district last season.

Hughes will wear number 24 for the the North squad who will don black jerseys, kickoff is today at 6:00 PM El Paso time and can be streamed from FoxSportsSouthwest.com, and will tape delay on Fox Sports Southwest at 12:00 PM El Paso time on Wednesday.

Hughes was tabbed the 81st best running back by ESPN, and had six games where he ran for 125 yards or more last season.

UTSA leads the C-USA with four players in the game, while Rice and North Texas both have two each participating in the showcase.
