UTEP and the University of Oklahoma have picked back up on an agreement for a two game road series for UTEP that would start with the Miners visiting Norman in the 2017 season, and return for another roadie in the 2022 season.
Tentative dates for the matchups are slated for September 2nd, 2017, and September 3rd, 2022 with both games in Norman.
Oklahoma is 4-0 all-time against UTEP, with the most recent matchup in 2012 when the Miners fought hard against a then top ranked Sooners club, but came up short 24-7 in the Sun Bowl.
Of course these games seem like light years away, and the deal goes back to 2012 when UTEP agreed on a 2 for 1 deal with the Sooners. No details have been released from UTEP, but Oklahoma released the info on their official website.
