Make plans for a California Adventure during the 2014 Thanksgiving weekend, as UTEP will participate in the 2014 Wooden Legacy.
UTEP will join Long Beach State, Princeton, University of San Diego, San Jose State, Washington, Western Michigan, and Xavier, on November 27, 28th, and 30th. Hence, no games played on November 29th, odd indeed.
San Diego State was the champion of this past season’s classic that featured the first round games at Titan Gym on the Cal-State Fullerton campus the first two days, then things moved to the Honda Center in Anaheim for the last two days of the tournament, not sure how the skipped Saturday affects that plan this coming season.
No brackets have been released as of today, nor are the ticket or travel packages available just yet, UTEP has not made an official announcement, but according the Wooden Legacy ESPN webpage, UTEP is in.
Great recruiting tool to sharpen up UTEP’s west coast exposure, also should be a lot of Orange and Blue with C.J. Cooper hailing from the area, and also UTEP signee Chris Sandifer, and commit Lew Stallworth are also from the region.
All games will be shown on ESPN.
