Jones lead Middle Tennessee to the third seed in the Conference USA Tournament, and a share of the regular season title.

He also becomes, the fifth player from Middle Tennessee to win a conference player of the year award, and the second in three seasons. Jones was also a first team all C-USA selection, and was named player of the week three times

Not only can he score, but Jones's defense is a huge part of his ability to be an elite player.
