Signing day is here and it will be a busy day for the UTEP Miners.
UTEP will introduce at least 23 possible players in Sean Kugler's first full season of recruiting.
There is a good mix of defense with some players from areas you would not expect UTEP to grab a kid.
The two high school jewels in my opinion, are Dallas running back Treyvon Hughes, and on the defensive side Wisconsin defensive end Luke Elsner.
I'm really surprised at a couple of commits that I can see coming in and making in impact right away.
Jimmy Musgrave will be one of the guys at linebacker. The JUCO transfer has experience and should see the field right away.
Another JUCO transfer that could make a huge impact is defensive tackle Alex Villareal. The 6'4 300 lb defender will bring much needed size to what will be an almost brand new defensive front.
Kugler is bringing great size and speed on the defensive front, which badly, and desperately needs an upgrade. Elsner is 6'4 and runs a 4.7, also coming into town is Ohio defensive lineman Joey Kraemer who goes 6'4 245, he is a great athlete who played solid on both sides of the ball last year.
A couple of El Paso's top high school play makers will also sign on with UTEP. With the departure of Jordan Leslie will we see another El Pasoan have a breakout freshman year?
